Kali Majapahit (KM) is a Filipino Martial Arts style with influences from Pencak Silat, Muay Thai, Western Boxing, Chinese Wing Chun and Tai Chi, and Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do. It also has a “Health & Lifestyle” aspect coming from our founders’ studies in Nutrition, Acupuncture, Psychology, Posture Correction, Osteopathy, Qi Gong and Meditation.
KM is taught to the general public and law enforcement all over the world, in Singapore, Japan, Tahiti, the Philippines, Indonesia, France, Germany, Finland, Belgium, New Zealand, the Netherlands and the US, as well as through our Online Training Academy.
KM was founded by Fred and Lila Evrard who are both professional Martial Arts instructors with more than 40 years of experience.
Fred is a Close-Quarter-Combat and Knife-Defense instructor for the French Special Forces and a Counter-Terrorism consultant for the French Ministry of Defense. Lila is recognized internationally as one of the top female martial arts instructors in the world and in 2010, was awarded “Filipino Martial Arts Woman of the Year”. She also teaches Boxing, Kickboxing, Conditioning, Tai Chi and Tahitian Dance, and was a speaker for TEDx.
KM is a unique, easy-to-learn and revolutionary martial arts, personal safety and personal growth program designed specifically for the needs of adults (men and women). The KM program is designed to build self-defense skills, awareness but also self-confidence and a healthy lifestyle in a safe environment.
KM is also a trusted solution for many law enforcement agencies, special forces and VIP protection units around the world.
Our KM Kids program goes way beyond martial arts and is built on the best of traditional martial arts and modern psychomotor training, teaching children the skills and knowledge to take on challenges of the future. Our structured curriculum was designed to optimize our students’ learning, to balance their brain hemispheres and have a lasting impact on their lives, including school results.
